Rugby League Club in Sunnybank Qld catering for all ages from Under 6 to Opens.
Souths Sunnybank Rugby League Football Club Inc. was founded by Jim Murdoch and local people led by Ray Davis in 1966.
The club fielded its first team in an 'unofficial' comp in 1967 in the Under 12s, playing out of the fields in Lister Street.
1972 saw the club negotiate terms on what was to eventually become Jim Murdoch Oval, the current home ground.
Souths Sunnybank RLFC has produced many state and international representatives including:- Mark Coyne, Peter Coyne, Scott Logan, Wayne Challis, Phil Lee, Lote Tuqiri, Paul Fisher and Jonathon Thurston.
It currently fields teams in the Greater Brisbane Junior Rugby League competition for Under 6s to Under 18s, and in the Brisbane Second Division Rugby League for Opens.
